72 Bed

I have a 72 short bed and the bedsides have rusted through on both sides at the wheel arches. The bed floor also has holes through it at almost every section that has a cross sill, the front bed panel is bent, and the wheel housings are beat up pretty bad. Sorry I don't have pictures of this. It seems like it will be expensive to fix all of this as i'm not a body man, nor do I have the tools. I'm wondering if I can even find a local bed in better shape. I checked the parts board and I didn't see any near me for sale. I know a guy that has one and he says its in pretty good condition. Only a few pin holes in the floor and a dent in the bedside according to him. My question is, would I be better off getting a different bed or try to get the one I have fixed? I can take a chance on the one I've found for about $500 plus whatever it would cost to get that one up to par or keep what I have. What do you guys think would be the best option? Thanks.

replacing is definately the best option. maybe hold off on the one you know of and check the area junkyards and autofair is coming up in a litrtle while theres always a bunch of stuff there alto prices tend to be a bit high but there are sometimes deals there on parts

I was thinking that replacing it was probably better too, especially after I started listing everything that is wrong with it. I didn't think about the jy, that's a good idea. Thanks for the feedback.
