turn signal problem
I'm putting l.e.d.s for front turn signal.when i wire it one way the blinkers will work untill i turn on the park lights and head lights. If i switch the wires its the opposite the blinkers will only work when the headlights are on and the park lights work. Anyone think they know how to fix it. Its on a 68 2 wheel drive.

Re: turn signal problem
Being a '68 and a 2-wheel drive has nothing to do with it. You are dealing with a ground problem. But here's what I'd do, first. I have a K-D tool that is a wire brush designed for cleaning the sockets that the bulbs fit into. 1. Clean the sockets. 2. Burnish the sockets for the headlight connectors. Check the chassis ground to be sure it is good.
I put Ledtronic LED's in the taillights of my truck. Then, I bought a pair (APC) from Advance for the park/turn lights. They didn't fit very well into the sockets of the parking lots. They wouldn't go far enough into the socket to make the lights work. I had to put the incandescents back into the sockets. |
