Pitman Arm to Drag Link Torque?

What do you torque do you apply to the nut that holds the drag link onto the tapered shaft of the pitman arm?

My Haynes manual says Pitman arm to relay rod nut is 60 ft lbs.

Re: Pitman Arm to Drag Link Torque?

If you are talking about the 1-5/16 nut on the sector shaft, then 150-180 should do the trick

Re: Pitman Arm to Drag Link Torque?

The nut on my sector shaft is 15/16 and it is not a castle nut with a cotter pin. It is a locking nut with deformations on the side of the hex.

Re: Pitman Arm to Drag Link Torque?

So for my application the torque is 150-180 ft./lbs. since I don't have a castle nut with a cotter pin? Thanks
