GMCPauls?

Ordered a poly tank 12 days ago.

No emails on tracking - sent email to support, no reply. Call their # on their web site, and rings busy...

Im starting to think less of them - anyone worked with them recently?

I have had good luck with them. I had the same concern when I first ordered from them. The communication is a weakness, but the people behind the operation are top notch. Don't panic, but I understand where you're at right now.

EDIT: Also, keep in mind they're shipping from Washington state, so the trip to Texas takes a little longer than some of the other providers.

I ordered a set of 6" drop coils about a month 1/2 ago. It took 14 days but they said 10 days were due to making the coils. They told me that they have them made on an "as you order" basis due to the many different models of our trucks. I believe the coils were then drop shipped from the outsource company they use straight to me.

Edit: I agree with these guys. He's busy and tough to contact but he's always got the right stuff and the right answer(s). If and when you do get in touch with him. Paul's a good guy.

scan through the review board for threads that are relevant. In my experience the communication is less than stellar
If a vendor ticks me off just one time I will never go back.

I have used most of the board vendors and for general stuff I have wittled it down the ATHEYS. He answers the phones, returns calls, answers emails and the quality has been fine!!!

I have not used Tim Christian...but I hear thats a great source to deal with also!

Re: GMCPauls?

Placed 3 orders from GMCPaul, first was 1.5 years ago for a lot of sheet metal parts. The second was for some in cab electrical parts. The 3rd was for door weather stripping about 8 months ago. Placed two orders by phone, spoke to Paul on one of them and the other was placed online. All the parts were great, shipped promptly and I had great customer service on the two phone orders. On the first order when I ordered all the typical sheet metal parts including a drivers door and passenger inner fender, Paul saved me from ordering unnecessary parts and worked with me on the freight costs.

I just placed an order by phone today with them. A young lady helped me but I could tell there was some stress in the shop based on the background conversation I overheard. When I called them on Friday, I got busy signals for about 15 minutes, so I can concur about the phone issue.

Have ordered from them in the past (about a year ago) without problem. They had the best price I could find with this part, so I took a chance.

I had the same issues with him in the past, but once I did get to talk with him, everything was cool... I'm confident everything will work out fine. He's just a little place doing business. Great guy... you can trust him.
Other places may be faster at shipping & answer the phone in 3 rings everytime, but I'm order from GMCPaul again for my future stuff.

I'm still waiting on parts I ordered from them 20 days ago...2 months ago I waited 33 days to get parts from them...that's ridiculous this day and age...I won't be ordering from them any more. SC

These posts should work as a great tool to see where a business can improve.I would want these types of threads if I was in the business. They help fine-tune and remedy short comings.

I've not had any trouble with GMC pauls. Always arrived within a week. I've ordered from him because he accepts paypal.

I've seen and heard more from Wes at Classic Heartbeat. He is working at winning my business in the future. He is quick to provide answers on the forum and volunteers parts info quite often.

Got an update!

Spoke with Amber - who was awesome and explained that the part I ordered doesnt ship from them, but from the distrib, and got me a tracking #... I should have it TOMORROW.

Lesson learned. Patience is a virtue.

I'm glad you got it straigtened out. Patience is a virtue, BUT - with better communication, you would have had to be concerned...
