How do you surf Ebay for 73-87 parts???
 

Just wondering what features you guys use to hunt for parts on fleabay with. I am pretty sure there was a post about this but i can't find it. I normally use 73-87 but I am pretty sure there are more results then what i am getting.

Ofcourse I prefer to use the parts board here and local scrap yards but the scrap yards are crushing all my parts donors.

I just search for each year, 1973 chevy truck, then 1974 chevy truck and so on. sometimes just chevy truck and others chevy stepside. just have to pock and plug

i type this in the search box and go:

(73, 1973, 74, 1974, 75, 1975, 76, 1976, 77, 1977, 78, 1978, 79, 1979, 80, 1980, 81, 1981, 82, 1982, 83, 1983, 84, 1984, 85, 1985, 86, 1986, 87, 1987) (chevy, chev, chevrolet, gmc, g m c) (truck, pu, p u, pickup, pick up, silverado, cheyenne, scottsdale, c10, c 10)'

Here is a tip that might help. If you type chev* in your search, it will find everything that starts with the letters chev...so you'll get chevrolet and chevy all at once. It also comes in handy for looking for GM or GMC parts...just type it gm*

When it comes to typing the year , I use 197* . It will pull up anything between 1970 and 1979 if it is in the title . The * is the symbol above the 9 on the numeric keypad . I dont know what it is called but it is a filler that looks for anything that will be in that position . So I usually use 197* chevy or 197* GMC . Then change your sort to Distance first if you are looking for big items that usually wont ship .

Hey guys my first car was a Chevette, it was a great car, could always rely on it get me any where and any time. 8-track under the drivers seat, 4 cyl, auto, a/c, top speed was 60mph if you were going downhill with the wind at your back.

Actually, as long as you include the other set of parameters in parantheses, (truck, pu, p u, pickup, pick up, silverado, cheyenne, scottsdale, c10, c 10), you will not get chevette stuff.

i just always search c10 and what i'm looking for.


c10 springs
c10 trim
ect. ect.

then i just sift threw till i find what i need
