1971 C-20 longhorn custom camper Cigar lighter????
I'm curious about an accessory on my dads truck. It's in the cigarette lighter hole, it is a lighter but out on the very end it has a light bulb , cover over the light bulb, and a switch on it for the bulb. Is this a cigar lighter, a special accessory, correct to 1971 or what? It's not in LMC or other parts catalogs. Thanks for any info you might have on it.

Julie, can you provide a photo? I *think* I have an idea what you are talking about... but I'd like to be sure.

hi longhorn man! I was told that it's probably a map light, and aftermarket doodad, by folks on stovebolt web site. I don't know if it's 1971 or not. No photo, I don't have digital camera yet. the reply on stovebolt has a link w/ a photo of it. I'll replace the bulb and see if the lighter works, it doesn't now. There are lots of little thing and maybe bigger things that need attention, but I like doing it. thanks for the help.JJ

I have one that came in my 69 GMC 4x4. I don't know if it was factory--It is definetly an older addition.
