Re: Help with rear suspension!!!
Can it be as wide as the outside of the frame?
I would build a panhard bar as long as you can. Otherwise I would try a watt's link with one link mounting above the frame rail and one mounted below it. |

i was wondering if it would work if i tied the two lower bars together with a bar diagonaly from the front of one to the rear of the other..... like so. that should keep the rear end from moving. otherwise do they offer a watts link with the diff cover bracket for a gm 12bolt? or do i weld a bracket to the cast diff? thanks again

Re: Help with rear suspension!!!
You can run a bar like that, and they work pretty well. Just make sure your frame and axle mounts are solid, as it increases the stress they see.
For the watt's I generally make a bracket that welds to the axle tubes instead. I don't trust the other methods as much. I don't like welding to cast if I can avoid it. Especially cast iron. |
