Lifting a 2WD

I have a 2WD 71' C10 Short Box with truck arm rear suspension. What are my options when it comes to lifting this truck? I'm shooting for a 4in. lift. My concern is the rear. . . Any info is appreciated. Thanks

You should sell that truck to some one who wants a short bed 2 wheel drive and get you a K 10 Or I noticed there was some one on this board that had a rolling K 10 frame on this board for sell. That would work too. You are going to have to convert to leafs at the very least.

Noticed this was your first post welcome to the board. This place is an invaluable resource.

Welcome to the board. I'm not sure I can help with your question but I was curious, are you building a prerunner type vehicle? Why would you want to lift a 2wd 4 inches?

Thanks for the warm welcomes. I am not sure what the plan for this truck is yet. Ive had it for about a year now. Its currently dropped 4/5 and has a small block with 700r4. Just exploring some options. . .

Welcome to the board.

There have been a couple trucks with trailing arms that I`ve seen lifted on this website. One guy mad a 4wd Suburban and left the rear coils.I think it`s an axle flip:

There`s a guy with a lifted 60-66 here. You could see what he did:

There was another shortbed a guy did where he made long travel suspension. That`s really a cool idea.

Are you trying to lift it from where you are now with the drop, or 4" taller then stock?

well, you could always put 3/4 ton springs on there. that should net you 2" all around. only thing is that with the 3/4 ton springs, you will get a very rough ride on a SWB.
