Rare option ?
I have a 69 chevy. In the engine compartment there is a triangle shaped glass bottle, the lid says antifreeze & theres a bracket holding it to the core support, next to the radiator . Did this come from the factory like this or did someone add it on? Thanks, Tom

I have one of these also, and Ive been wondering the same thing, because Ive never seen it anywhere else.
|
LOL, yeah its a factory "reserve" windshield washer bottle. Don't ask me how or why its just there. My truck only had the bracket for the bottle on the inner fender.
|
hmmm, mine functions as an overflow bottle for the radiator...interesting
|
It has been modified to do that. I have the same bottle under the hood of my monte carlo. It has a decal on it that says "Kleerview"

Cool, ya learn something new everyday!!!
Thanks:bowtie: |
i had on of these in my 69 and i'm sure it was not the windsheild washer bottle. i dont know if it was factory or not but it fit nice. I wish i could find it i would take a pic and show you guys.

I have only seen those on Camaros and cars like that, never on trucks.
|
I know it was also on the Corvair. I have not seen anything about them being on trucks either.
Some one probably added it years ago. |
