easy rust removal?
 

so i tore out all my interior stuff (heater dist. box, pedals etc.) last night because almost everything has surface rust and bubbly paint on it. its not really bad enough to need replacing but i really dont wanna have to scrub the whole thing with a wire brush. Is there a fast easy and prefferably cheap way to do it? has anyone used that rust converter stuff? thanks

I'd use a wire wheel on an angle grinder.

I've never used the rust converter but I'm sure someone that has will chime in.

Those pieces are so small it shouldn't take much to sand by hand and repaint. Or use a wire wheel or something similar. You could always get some chemical stripper also.

Easiest and fasted way is to put a 4" wire wheel on a a handheld grinder and go to town. Thats what im gonna be doing anyway as mines the same way.

wire wheel, 40 grit sand paper, wax and grease remover, rust convertor primer, undercoat is what i did to my frame, and high temp paint on exhaust.... here ya go

that frame looks pretty good... so i got a wire wheel and went to town like you said it really wasnt too bad i got most the parts done in a day.

I have used a product called "rust-mort" before but not in an automotive application.It works very well but you still have to take a wire wheel and knock off the loose stuff.

I like electrolisys. Take a bucket of water with little baking soda. Now get your car battery charger, connect + to a steel rod or other scrap and make sure it's in the water. Don't put charger clamps under water. Connect - clamp to rusty piece and soak. Trust me, it works and it works good. Google for more info.
