brake problems
 
my dad and i started working on his 68 after its been sitting for 6 years we put in a new master cylinder in and bled the brakes a few times each time was a constant flow of fluid but the peddle still goes all the way to the floor and is soft. any suggestions

check your wheel cylinders for leaks and if you cant find any leaks you probably have air in the lines

Check all of the obvious as woods mentioned but if all looks good then the new master cylinder may be defective.

I went through three of them some years back until I changed parts store and got a different brand. Be sure and follow the directions explicitely on bench bleeding. You can do it mounted on the truck but requires two people.

When you bleed start with the rear passenger side and then the driver's side. Then front passenger side and then driver's side.

Make shure your brake shoes are adjusted up good.
