Longbed Stepside
I bought the truck this bed was on mainly for the bed, when I had three 3/4t 4wds,and now don`t need it.I was going to take it apart to get parts I needed, like cross members, but decided I have most parts i need and this would be a great bed to put on a truck. You know how it goes, something is great until you pull it apart. Then,it all looks like crap. The flanges on the fender may have rust, but that doesn`t matter when it`s all together. The cross members may be scaley, but they`ll do just fine for quite awhile. When restoring, none of this is "good enough".But,take and paint this and it`ll be a great bed for quite awhile. It`s origina lpaint as well as wood floor. The steps have rust and there`s some in the top rail. The tailgate`s great and so is the front panel,as well as the rear cross sill. The whole thing is very straight and not beat up at all.Only the driver fender has some rust at the lower front...very fixable.I even have some new take-off steps I can offer as well as another short bedside that pieces can be cut from if the bed is restored.
I want $300 for the bed.$100 for the steps and $100 for the short bedside.I`m not offering anything seperate.I`m offering the bed and if the buyer wants the other stuff,it`s available. If only the bed sells, then the other parts will be available. If it`s all wanted in a package I`ll do $400. http://i190.photobucket.com/albums/z...s/IMG_1658.jpg http://i190.photobucket.com/albums/z...s/IMG_1659.jpg http://i190.photobucket.com/albums/z...s/IMG_1657.jpg http://i190.photobucket.com/albums/z...s/IMG_2022.jpg Two cross members were weak and need replaced.I have more pictures and can get any you`d like if interested. |

Re: Longbed Stepside
Okay, let me see how this pans out for me, I may be willing to trade if you are. In the mean time if you can get cold hard $$$ for it, by all means sell it since I'm up in the air at this moment as to what direction I may go.

Tim
If you can get this to August Carlisle, I'll take it for $300 regardless of my decision on the tailgate situation. Let me verify with my sn that he's willing to haul a trailer down to meet you. Jeff |
Re: Longbed Stepside

Where is Buffalo Bottom? I'm looking into a 72 Long bed step side and may need a new bed.

I`m in a valley along Buffalo Road outside of Mt.Airy in Central Maryland.I just call my place Buffalo Bottom to be an ass.
It looks like I have a deal with CPNE on this bed, though. |
