The short version

I have noticed that some on here are using letters ONLY to communicate. Me, being new here, must have missed that day and didn't get the memo. Could someone fill me in on some of the short versions so I know what the hecks being said? TTT ? ;):phat:

TTT= To the top

just like "bump", in otherwords adding a post in order to bump it to the top of the list for visibility purposes :)

One of my former boss's favorites was obtw, usually just after the morning manager's meeting in the plant where we worked and meaning I would have to make up an order for a bunch of equipment. Wish I had a batch of that polished stainless steel tubing and bends now.

Now that you have the answer to what some of them mean, and know there is a "Thesaurus" somewhere.....
I will tell you the why.Some of us are so old that we went to schools where they used paper and pen.Since the electrons refuse to read that stuff and display it and those of us who went to said paper and pen based schools don't type for $h!+! So we use the simplest means to comunicate.
