Which lift kit 3/4 or 1/2 ton?

Thanks for any help to start off........Ok I am putting 76 3/4 ton axles under my 77 shortbed K10 so going from dana 44 front 12 bolt rear to dana 44 front 14 bolt rear. I have researched and it looks like I have to change my rear u bolts and plates when I swap the axles. I'll be going with a kit that includes rear springs with u bolts not blocks. So I was wondering do I order the kit for a half ton or three quarter ton truck, ride doesn't really matter to me? Also to anybody that has done this swap if you went with discs all the way around and converted the 14 bolt what do you have for a brake setup? As far as master cylinder and proportioning valve?

I don't think with most kits there is an option for 1/2, 3/4 ton springs. They are the same. I am running disks frt and back, using the old drum, drum master with a booster. I change pads regularly and have never had any trouble. I have blown the seal on the piston in the master a couple of times but never lost any braking. We are talking 13 yrs they have been on the truck. Oh and I used all the parts rotors, bearings, and backing plates from a dana 44 on my 14 bolt. They work great. Oh and I don't have a E brake. Bought some line locks at one time but never installed them.

The blocks are gone from the rear now. The truck rode better with the factory springs and 4" blocks than the springs I have back there now.

You would need the 3/4 ton kit. The only difference would be the rear u-bolts since the 14 bolt has bigger diameter tubes than a 10/12 bolt.
