Hello from a New Member

Hello, I looked for a "Welcome Aboard" thread and didn't see one. This is my second post. I added a couple of pics of my truck to the Pics post. I'm Bert, Chevy trucks have been a love of mine for 25 years or more. I have owned several old chevy trucks over the years. I currently own a 1968 C10. I bought it before Christmas. It has the original 307 2V (factory cable straps still bolted to the rams horns) and T350 trans. At some point in it's life it inherited a 67 bed. I hope the truck will be a good father and son project over the next few years. I look forward to hanging out here and learning some great tips on restorations and rebuilds. Although similar, all of the ones I've restored have been 63-66. Here is a pic of the truck.

Thanks guys for the compliments. The truck is in pretty good shape and runs pretty good. I don't know if I would drive it to NY or CA, maybe Memphis. It has the usual rust for a truck in the wet southeast. I picked it up for $1600.
Here is a shot from the driver's side, interior, and under the hood. The previous owner added the late model GM manifold and Q-Jet. I do have the original manifold, 2V carb., and valve covers. The power steering works well also. I have a lot of work ahead of me and I am looking forward to it. I'll take some better shots of the engine after a good degreasing. Thanks again guys for the warm welcome.
