unibody

Just looking at some of the unibody projects and wondering from some of you guys what kind of bracing you would need to do to accomplish this? I am taking a collision technician class this year and might think about this for a project. Thanks in advance for advice and tips!

Re: unibody

dalbers, since the 67-72 trucks have a frame the bracing would mostly be in that area. There are a couple of threads in the builds section on shortening longwheel base trucks and I think frizzle fry has one on a burb to Tahoe conversion. The body probably needs some bracing to keep the bodywork from cracking also but lap jointing a section of like shaped metal would probably be all it takes.
I'm no body man but this is what i have seen others do.
