GMC fender badges?
I had to go junkyardin' last weekend to find a part for our bar car, a '00 Suzuki Grand Vitara. At the place that finally had the part, near where the 'Zuki was, there was what was left of a '67-'72 GMC. The poor old thing was just about completely crushed and was at the bottom of a stack of cars. About the only thing I could see was the right side front fender, and it had a 'JIMMY/20' badge on it. I figured it was just a fender off a Jimmy, but the paint seemed as old and original as the rest of the truck. Were any GMC trucks badged as 'Jimmy's'?

Re: GMC fender badges?
Someone must have rigged that one up.Jimmys were all K/5s and all the trucks are 1500,2500,3500...and on.The badge says GMC across the top with a rectangle below that specifies 1500,2500,etc. and the model such as Sierra or V-eight,which is an aluminum insert.

Ok what about my badge? It says gmc 910 ???

Re: GMC fender badges?
I think the 9 was for a canadian version and the 10 was 1/2 ton.
A 920 would be a 67-69 3/4 ton gmc and so forth. Hope that makes sense, Eric |
Re: GMC fender badges?
Pritch, that looks like a pretty decent fender. Should have bought it. If it will fit a 72 GMC I might buy it, but it out sounds like it would be a Chevy fender.
