Ford torino housing ends on 12 bolt rear end brake swap
My truck is a 68 C-10 short wide. I have a narrowed factory 12 bolt rear end with moser axles 5 on 4 1/2 bolt circle and torino style housing ends.
I want to put disc brakes on my rear end and have heard that a rear disc set up from a ford explorer is a direct bolt on? Caliper bracket bolt pattern etc..Just want to know from someone that has first hand knowledge or experience, if this is indeed a direct swap or what modifications if any are needed. Also what years of explorer work? Thanks |
Re: Ford torino housing ends on 12 bolt rear end
:welcome2: From Lake County California. I don't think you'll get a bunch of help on this board with Ford questions. Why don't you just get some Torino brackets and calipers?

Re: Ford torino housing ends on 12 bolt rear end
I always heard to use mid to late 90's cadillac rear calipers because they have the built it parking brake thing. Then you could still have the same bolt pattern.
