72 cab & front clip on 75 frame?

I was wondering if anyone knows what it takes to put a 72 c-10 cab and front clip on a 75 frame? I have a lowered 72 and i want to put it on the 75 4X4 frame instead of doing a SAS. Im not worried about the bed cause if it doesn't work i will just build a flatbed. Any info helps. Thanks

Im going on a limb here and someone wiser can chime in and correct me if Im wrong but I believe to be able to place cab and clip off of your 72 onto a 75 frame you will have to make custom body mounts. Anythings possible with the right tools and time.

Ya thats what i figured. I have the tools and the ablility i was just hoping that maybe chevy kept the same mounts. thanks. I woul still like to hear from anyone who might have done something like this before. I don't know what im getting into. I forgot to mention that the 75 im using is a 3/4 ton with dual tanks. i dont know if that makes a difference or if thats gonna make it harder to accomplish.:chevy:

I done this to my very first truck. Took a 72' shortbed and cut down a 73 3/4 ton 4x4 truck and mated the two. You will need to use all the body mounts off your other pickup, take measurments of where they are. Cut them off and reweld them or bolt them to the newer frame. That and you may need a body lift to pull it off, I can't remember. The bed will really need worked to fit. If I would have to do it all over again and still had that truck, I would rethink about modifying the 2wd frame with the 75 parts. Either way, there are a couple of people on here that have done it. If wanting to put your body on a later frame, contact MUDDER on here. Another thing, there is a guy on here on the 4wd section that is doing this as well. Trevor

I forgot to tell you to, you will either need to run your existing tank in the cab, or run a suburban/blazer tank all the way in the back between the frame rails. I don't think these cabs will fit over the dual tanks. Trevor
