It is for sale by Rustfreeclassics. Although it's not totally original I really like the looks. They are asking $7900 what do you guys think? fair price?

I likes it.

Re: cool 67 4x4
Are you thinking of buying it? If so, to give you a better picture, we would need more info. Seems a little steep to me.

I think it's too high. For that money, you could find one in better shape. Trevor

Re: cool 67 4x4
Scott sells his trucks or about double what he pays. When you figure what it takes to locate them and get them to Indianapolis,I guess it`s not bad. But,who needs that these days. You can find a decent truck from the low rust zone rom a fellow board member at the local price as well as other sources. The thing is,he doesn`t touch them, knows little about them and is dependent on his locators for info.I`ve been out to see him and he showed me some that he got took on,like a 2wd body swapped onto a newer 4wd frame.

Re: cool 67 4x4
Seems high to me too, but sure makes me want to change mine over to 4x4 that much more! It's even near the same blue!

Re: cool 67 4x4
Seems high to me there are some good deals on the boards for sale section that I think you can come off way ahead on.

Re: cool 67 4x4
I was thinking in the $5500-6000 range myself. I know dealers have a decent mark up involved as with anything. I have always owned 71-72's and truthy wasn't sure what the market is on 67-68 4x4's.
I like the looks of this truck, but would like to find a 72 Cheyenne 4x4 Thanks, Ray |
Re: cool 67 4x4
I went to the dealer's site and read the discription. It's a very nice truck but, 5K tops. JMHO.

Re: cool 67 4x4
The floors look rusty under some of the carpet shots. The truck needs a paint job, so that is already going to be some pretty good change. Some things would need addressed before I would highly think of paying that for it. Trevor

Re: cool 67 4x4
Basically, one of his trucks could be one found at Joe's Used Cars, bought by someone who only cares that they know Rustfree Classics will buy it,shipped to Indiana, and listed on a website. No one in that chain could give an honest answer about history ,service,or condition.
He`s always in that price range. It could be high-optioned with original paint or pieced together with 40 years of "keep it going" and a few paint jobs. So,some are worth it,but he wouldn`t know or care...the price is the same. All I know is he always sells everything eventually.sometimes he drops the price if it doesn`t move.I think his stuff is worth it to Easterners when you compare to any other way to find, buy, and transport a California vehicle. |
