I've never seen a 67-72 with one. Just 12 bolts and 3/4 & 1 ton full floaters.
I think only 73+ had 10 bolts

I suspect the OP is counting rear end cover bolts instead of going by the axle's actual name.
Is this a C/20 with 8 lug wheels?

My 67 GMC has a 10 bolt in it, mind you it is a dana 44.

The thing is, not all 10 bolts are the same. 12 bolts were in half tons and pretty much the same. Variations in the axle lengths and bolt patterns across the years.

get a pic of the diff cover then we should be able to get closer to telling you what you might have.

The number of bolts refers to how many bolts hold the ring gear to the carrier. I think it is a coincidence that it usually is the same as the amount of cover bolts. Someone correct me if I am wrong.
