production count on 1970 4x4 swb fleetside?
Talking with my buddy the other day and said prolly less than 5% of total 4x4 production for 70 was swb,how rare are they? Is he right or?Looked on e-bay and there is very few for sale. Maybe i didn't look in the right place? I know they were called k-10 but e-bay doesn't have that option,i also looked in other trucks.

unfortunately, the build numbers for these trucks were not kept very well. that being said, there's really no hard evidence that backs your friend's claim up.
however swb 4x's, regardless of year, aren't exactly falling from trees! |

If you are talking about 1970 Chevy 1/2 ton 4x4 Short Fleetside, 9131 1/2 ton 4x4 Trucks produced in 1970, of which 2554 of them were short Fleet. (burbs n panels not included). If you include 3/4 ton, add another 7659 to that overall number. (note no 3/4 4x4 short fleets from factory).. If you are talking about a GMC, then TCB-1 post is correct, but it would be lower production numbers for GMC.. |

Maybe about 5% of all 10s or maybe 10-30s might have been short wheelbase K/10s.
