It's actually to the right of the steering column. It's attached to the windshield wiper motor...:).. Follow the rubber hoses.

the washer pumps on these trucks are notorious for going south. there is a kit that will allow you to rebuild the pump..... if the motor is still good.

It's way up under the dash & a bear to work on. If you are not concerned about originality Or are a purist get a universal electric pump. Run the pressure right through the old pump. If it doesn't leak you are ready. Run the wire from the switch that goes to the washers to the elec. pump & ground the other one. It will work off the original button except you will have to hold it in while it squirts.

There was a write up in the FAQ on how to wire up an external washer pump. I put one in. Wire the hot wire off the external pump to a hot wire on the wiper motor, ground on the external pump to the middle blue wire on the jack that plugs into the wiper switch. IIRC. New pump works with the factory switch. Also replumbed the tubing going to the washer nozzles.

Isn't there a kit to retrofit a better wiper motor and pump on these trucks? I thought I saw something on here before... :smoke:
