OT-engine color on '50 chevy truck?

My neighbor asked me yesturday what color the motor was suppose to be originaly on his '50 chevy truck that he got from his dads farm. I wasnt for sure so I told him I would ask on here since I know someone hear would know for sure. thanks Greg

We've discussed this one at the stovebolt page numerous times. The engine can be one of two colors, Chevy blue or gray. They were turned out in both colors, no one seems to know why. My 52's 216 was blue, I have seen others that were gray. Pick the one you like best and go with it. My 235 is Chevy blue.
