kick panel install
Hey guys, I ordered a set of kick panels that you can put speakers in and didn't realize there was so much modifying to be done. I realize that I will need to drill holes for the lever to open the vent on one side and the vaccum canister for the other, but I didn't realize I would have to cut off most of the back section on the passenger side because of the contour of the cab. Has anyone else had to do this or did I get the wrong panels?

Did you check these out?
I wish he had these before I bought the only ones I could find... that's my truck with the smooth cowl I got from Tony by the way http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s....php?p=3747440 |
Re: kick panel install
I had to trim mine in the manner you described. I used a dremel tool....no biggie.

Re: kick panel install
How are they held in place on the kick panel of the trk? it says the weather stripping holds them but that is hard to believe.

Re: kick panel install
I put 6 by 9 speakers in my 69 truck doors. I did not know if the kickpanel speakers would hit the emergency brake pedal or not. Don't put speakers under the seat. They sound terrible.
