removing the bed
 

I was wondering if there's an easy way to remove the bed using a cherry picker? I don't have anyone that can help me remove my bed but I do have a cherry picker so I was wondering if anyone has fabbed up an adapter to make bed removal a 1 to 2 person job.

Stacey David used this one when he was playing with copperhead (http://truck-bed-lifter.brutmfg.com/) . As you can see from the photo it's not too hard to weld one up from square tubing. :smoke:

CB24 just type in one man cab and bed lift into the search feature. It should pull up Rokcrln from LFD who sells the prints to make an adjustable bracket to use on your cherry picker.:metal:

Contact Rokcrln, like stated above. www.lewisfabricationdesign.com for plans. I built mine and use it all of the time. Great for cab and bed removal.

I used a 4x4 (or a couple 2x4s) in the middle, tucked under the bedrails, balancing the bed.

I had it on and off at least four times during this latest redo.

I also made a little stand out of some scrap wood, to support the bed during transportation and the painting process:

Two people can do it. Unbolt the bed, slide it backwards a little, then tilt it onto the ground up-ended, then carefully keep turning so it ends up upside down. The top of the bedsides support the weight easily.
