lower front a-arm bump stop?

Any tricks for installing the bump stops on the lower a-arm on the 67-72's? I cant get the damn thing deep enough into the slot for it to catch. I am trying not to totally screw up the newly painted arms.

10 seconds in the microwave will soften the rubber and help. Use lube too.
