Parking brake

I have searched all over the forums for any alternative parking brake cable Idea's and have not found anything.

I have a 70 chevy swb 1/2 ton

what I was hoping to do is get rid of the stock parking brake cable that shows along the front driver side fender to clean up under my hood a bit more. I like the stock brake pedal but the cable is just fugly under the hood, has anyone tried anything different or found another way of rerouting the cable or even a better parking brake system for these trucks. I was also hoping to not have to place in a center console brake lever since I think those are ugly also. but if that is the only way to get away from this under the hood cable then I might have to do it.

Thank you in advanced for any info provided.
Jeff
