IF it is a dana 60 it will have d60 cast into it, near the inspection cover. And it will have 4 bolts holding the steering arm.

The d44's only have 3 bolts holding it.

If it is 3/4 it will be a d44.

Here is how the passenger side spring is attached - the two bolts you see here, or two studs rather than a u-bolt on the inner side is an easy way to determine if it is a Dana 60.

No, 10 bolts are different than a Dana axle. Here take a look at this link. It should help you out on identifying the different axles.

"Axel tomro", is that some sort of band you kids are listening to nowadays?

If it really is a 3/4 ton truck and the front axle has never been replaced, then it will not be a Dana 60.
This guide might help a bit:

Here's more info than you ever wanted to know about a Dana 60 front axle:

only K-30's had dana 60's, you will find most of them in early-mid 80's K-30's. There are two different options though, SRW and DRW (single rear wheel and double). You want to hold out for a SRW since it will cost you more money to convert a DRW. Prices are usually around $800+. You can find a 10 bolt or dana44 for under $150 complete.

This is a Dana 60. Note the 60 at the lower right. It's kind of hard to see.

Any Chevy 60 will have King Pins instead of ball joints. That's about the quickest way to spot one. But as posted earlyer in thread no 3/4 ton chevy will use a 60 front, unless it was swapped there.

Only Dodge and the 78/79 Ford used the 60 front in the 3/4 ton trucks. But they were special package trucks like camper special or a snow fighter.

Jason.
