I need a measurement, please

I am converting some pickup doors to Suburban front doors. I have the window frames, but when I got them I neglected a critical measurement.
I didn't get the measurement from the front corner to the back corner.:dohh::dohh:
Any help would be much appreciated!

23 3/8" on mine. That's measured in the same spot with the tape measure in the exact same position. I measured until right where the window frame starts to descend. It looks like your guesstimation was only off about 1/16" from my Suburban's door.

Be careful accepting measurements from someone else's tape measure....

That little "tab" on the tape can be bent slightly (either in or out) and easily give you 1/8" variation. If you use the same tape for everything it doesn't matter, but in this case if it's truly critical you should be extra careful with the measurements.

A lot of times I'll actually start at the 1" mark instead of using the tab just to make sure I'm getting a more precise value.

Even different tape measure manufacturers and / or a printing flaw could throw things off. I used to work in a factory where we periodically had to make sure our tape measures were within spec of a static length.

Even though mine is a Suburban door, it could vary slightly from someone else's Suburban door depending on who built that door that day and if it was close to spec at the factory or a little off too.

Either way, I re-measured at the 1" mark and got the same result (well, plus 1").

Thank you Beelzeburb. And thanks for the caution Greg72. Accuracy is important.:chevy:
