Taillight Trim

Could someone tell me if there are cone shaped washers used on the screws that secure the trim around the taillights? I seem to remember some SS washers with a short shank on a couple of screws when I had removed what was left of the trim on the back of my truck. The upper holes in the trim are rather large and the washers make sense as they would keep the screws from crushing or distorting the trim when attached. I had emailed one of the dealers and they responded by saying just cone shaped screws are used. If the washers are used and anybody has some extras please let me know.
Thank you.

I can't deside on weather to keep my taillight trim. If you take it off, and fill the holes the tail lenses stick out funny looking. So I think they'd have to be frenched in a little.

I put my taillight trim screws back in the holes when I started my resto. so I'm pretty sure they're right and they are cone shaped screws, no washer. I do recall seeing that type somewhere else on my truck though.

The screw heads base is beveled not flat for the taillight bezels, off the top of my head I believe its a 1" #10, available at good hardware stores in the bolts section, go chromed or stainless steel. If you can't find them we do stock them.

i think im talking about the same thing and mine were clips
the chrome around the backup light and brake light ???

They have both clips and beveled screws. The trim across the tailgate is clips...however my tailgate was not worth fixing so I installed an aftermarket tailgate and used "3M" double sided tape since there were no trim holes in the tailgate and it worked great.

I am just speaking of the taillight trim. There are clips and 2 screws that hold the pieces on. The previous owner must have installed the trim washers because the holes were to big or? I had email GMC Paul's and should have taken his word as he should know if anybody does, but just wanted to ask as the little things that nobody see's will drive me nuts if I know something is not right.
