1972 Dana 60 with 3:54 gears $100
I have the rear end from my 72 Longhorn I'm selling. It has very minimal gear lash, brakes are free and not stuck. I don't know if the bleeders will loosen up, I have not tried. I have not driven the truck down the road so I can not tell you if it makes any weird noises. I haven't even had the cover off of it. I would like to get $100 for it. I will be traveling to Topeka Ks the weekend of the 25th of September and could bring it a long with me. Thanks Ryan.

I will sell axles and ring and pinion with carrier seperately if someone needs them. I hate to see it go to scrap, but it just might. Surely someone needs it.

I have no trouble waiting...but Lubbock is quite a ways from Dallas.
Is this a posi/locker or an open D60? To be honest...I would be refitting it with new axles and who knows what else. I need somthing tougher for my new motor then this 12 bolt and a S60 (Strange) or M60 (Moser) are both too expensive. |
Re: 1972 Dana 60 with 3:54 gears $100
He will have to drive through Dallas from Iowa so I doubt it'd be an issue. I have no idea what it is as far as open or posi. Honestly if I were you I would go with a ford 9". Screw 12 bolts.

Re: 1972 Dana 60 with 3:54 gears $100
do wha?
I just can't do it.....no 9" for me. I'll take something a little bigger. |
Re: 1972 Dana 60 with 3:54 gears $100
Granted I spent some money on the one in my vette, but it holds boosted launches and weighs as much as your truck. I used to eat up 12 bolts in my old 72 camaro and they pissed me off long ago!

Re: 1972 Dana 60 with 3:54 gears $100
I just can't put a ford r/e in anything I own...their products (even the good ones) disgust me. I just noticed your sig....I guess you must be a Cummins man...but to put one in a Vette...isn't that sacrilage?
|
Re: 1972 Dana 60 with 3:54 gears $100
Sacrilage? Heck no, only if you have never worked on a stock one I guess. I really want to do a Cuda or Challenger too. That'd have the mopar guys in an uproar then.

Re: 1972 Dana 60 with 3:54 gears $100
.......ok.......so what happened to your sig?
|
Re: 1972 Dana 60 with 3:54 gears $100
I cleaned it up. It's a long short story.

Re: 1972 Dana 60 with 3:54 gears $100
I might also be interested in this if your uncle would meet me in Missouri (location depends on which route he travels).

Re: 1972 Dana 60 with 3:54 gears $100
Where in Mo would you want to meet? I have to go to Lathrop some time.

Will this fit in a 71 Longhorn C30? I am in Rochester MN.
