Whats is this?

I took these off of my 67 camper special I sold. They were on the back of the frame. I was thinking bumper mounts or something for a slide in campeer but, figured I would ask. Thanks

Just a guess but it looks like it may have been to install a slide bumper. When the camper was on the bumper could be extended out and when the camper was off the bumper could be slid in.

Thats what it is .we had them on our truck for when we had a 12 foot cab-over camper on it
