EEC Or no EEC That is the question.........
Ok so my dilema is this....... I am putting my 67 chevy body on a 71 gmc 4x4 frame, the fuel tank from the 71 has EEC which would require slight modifications to the interior of my 67. An extra hole in the floor and a charcoal canister remount to the R/F fender. My question is........Is it worth the modifications? I have both EEC and Non_EEC tanks at my disposal to use. Is there a noticeable difference between the tanks? Vapor lock or fumes? What would the advantage be to running the EEC equipment? If none I'll take the easy way out and run the 67 tank.

Re: EEC Or no EEC That is the question.........
The advantage of EEC is the lack of fumes IF you use a non-vented fuel cap. The canister connects to the pcv hose and a vacuum line to draw the fumes from the tank. Your call.

Re: EEC Or no EEC That is the question.........
I would leave it as non-EEC or relocate the tank to under the bed. If you are already undertaking a frame swap this is the time to do it. Also keep the 67 VIN and there are no emmisions checks in NWI. Where are you at in NWI?
