ok i have a 71 LB i want to rake it

brothers sells 3 in lowering springs what else would i need to lower it?

would lowering the front that much affect the streering or anything else?

No you will not experience much steering trouble. 3" is pretty mild. Do you plan on lowering the back at all or just stock height? Here is mine in the middle of the lowering job with a four inch drop in front and stock in rear. Still had the old C20 rear so it was a little taller than yours probably is.

As far as what else you need, It is a good idea when lowering an old truck to change out the ball joints when you have it all apart. If you have a sway bar in front then you might consider some shorter brackets for it for clearance. If you do not have the time or money then simply putting in a shorter spring is all you need to do. after you lower it take it to the shop and get it aligned.

Yes. I cut the bracket and took about an inch out of them. You can buy a premade set from Brothers or any one of the specialty shops.
