Saw this on CL and had to snag it up! its a little dirty bt all has tested fine! going to do a little "restore" to it and possibly put it in the 81..not bad for 15 bucks!

It tested well! The mechanical oil pressure was leaking so I had the gauges out of the 81 already...

could you do me a favor and make picture of the bottom right of the gear indicator, where the cable goes (bents) over down and connects to the steering shaft?

That part is broken in mine dash and I want to see if I can fix it without buying a new dash. thanks man!

As or more than the 72 back trucks. This one is especially rare, an 81 up cluster out of a 30 series or smaller truck. Jay

Yes just a small bit of masking tape,behind it is a small grove the cable goes in

They are the same. Mine has dual tanks and I have a big truck (C40-c50) tach and it works fine. This the the small gas guage inside the large tach housing.
