Question about SM465 output shafts.
 
Weather a 4x4 SM465 is bolted to a 205 or a 208, is the actual output shaft the same length and 10- spline? I know the adapters are different, I just need to know if I can buy a 465 from a 208 and use it with my 205?

As far as I know all NP208 465's are 32-spline round pattern. So if you have a figure-8 style pattern case that is 10-spline the easiest option would be to find the matching tranny.

Or do what I am doing. I found a 32-spline 465 with a NP208. I'm going to use this combination until I can find a 32-spline NP205.

Edit,

A SM420 should also bolt right up to your 10-spline NP205 IIRC.
