Wheel base question

I'm sure it's already here, but I couldn't find it.

Were any C30 cab and Chassis wheel bases the same as a long bed?

I'm looking at buying an 86 flat bed and it seems to be about the same as my 83 C20. I want to use the running gear on my 64, but I'd like to put the frame under my C20. I know that the springs are a different width, but I can overcome that by swapping the brackest on the frame.

Thanks

Re: Wheel base question

Yes you could get a pickup with the cargo box deleted making it a normal wheel base Cab & Chassis

Re: Wheel base question

Mostly likely yes---however i find it all very confusing---some so-called "cab and chassis" models came with "wideside" and "fenderside" bodies which looked virtually identical to the the regular pickup bodies.

Some chassis/cab models where offered in 1/2, 3/4 and 1 ton versions, but by 86 i think only 3/4 and 1 ton?

i think 117.5(1/2 ton only) 131.5", 135.5", 159.5" and 164.5"(crewcab only though)?

Probably best to use a tape measure to absolutely verify.

Re: Wheel base question

I was trying to measure it out and they seemed to be a little off. That makes sense now, though. I think my wheel base is 131.5, so if it's a 135.5 c&c, that's where my measurements are off.
