source for original type tires?

I'm thinking about running some white 15x8 steelies with dog dish caps and period looking tires. The tires I'm thinking of have a simple zig zag tread pattern and a faceted section between the tread and sidewall. Sorta like you would see on an equipment trailer. Does anyone make tires like these today? If so, who has them?

I would look at coker tire. They don't list a truck, but they do have station wagon listed in 1970 Chevrolet that has a whitewall and a zig-zag type pattern.

I'm not thinking about whitewalls. Work truck or 4x4 tires from the period.

I think the Coker tire suggestion is the best for period-looking tires. You problem is going to be the look you want the tire to have versus the wheel you want to use. Somewhere, you have to accept one look, or the other.

Try looking up Nebraska Tire, at one time, they had good deals on vintage looking 4x4 tread. That's who I plan to use for my 70' tires. Trevor

I see this is an old post, but for newer searchers such as myself, try http://www.powerkingtires.com/Home/Index. This is the brand on my 71 C20 now.

I would buy these if they made them in a close to stock size.
