I don't know that much about building sub boxes but I am going to attempt to build a box for my L7 10" and was wondering about buiding ported boxes.. I have never built ne and ws looking for tips/tricks and perhaps a diagramn on how one is built? Can the port be built off of one of the walls? What is the correct way to measure port sizes? I welcome any input...

Sealed is the best if there are size issues and ported allows more output from the same power. In regular cab trucks sometimes its best to use a flat sub and there are many out there. Kicker? I'd call them specs change
when i did mine they gave me the size the inside needed to be
and the port size too
used mdf board,the port was pvc pipe,I sealed all the joins/cracks/gaps before the speakers were put in

not sure how far you have came along with the project but let me know if you need help, i know a little bit about the KICKER line and helping people build boxes.

Back in the stone ages (the 90's) I went to the local library and checked out a book with a bunch of speaker plans in it. They had the plans for a bose style box. It looked like one big box from the outside, but it was seperated into three chambers. The two outside chambers had non ported boxes firing into the center box, which was ported to the outside...that box thumped.
