70's style Custom '68 stepper at Ohio Auction
Saw this online at an Ohio Estate Auction site. Not my style at all, but looks fairly well done.

It looks like an early to mid 80s restore with pin stripes from 1990! I like it, it's totally not my style but what the heck, the smoke shows and donuts would make up for any of the outdatedness!

It would make a good starting point for someone. I'd take the blower off, put in on my 55 belair, add a sinlge carb, and update some other items.
Well worth current bid! Looks like those hood louvers are bolt ons! Never seen that before. |

Definitely not '70s style, more like mostly '80s with a touch of '50s confusion. One man's meat is another man's poison.

Add a touch of 90's with that ugly steering wheel. I can't stand seeing modern steering wheels in old vehicles, they look so out of place.
Can't say I really care for the truck much in general. It looks like a mix of styles/tastes to me but the craftsmanship looks great! I guess whoever built it liked it so guess that's good enough. :mm: |

Re: 70's style Custom '68 stepper at Ohio Auction
Man,that guy was heavy into the Indian fours! I wish I was loaded enough to go and buy up on that stuff. What I could use right now is that '67 FLH. That's exactly what I need.
Back to the truck,I'd like it more minus the customizing (grille, tail lights, interior) with pro-street rear/tires mated to that blown motor. I'd loose the rear bumper and go with a roll pan,no matter what. With the direction that truck went, the bumper looks like a left behind stock eyesore. Personally,I like stock body, but this one left on another path with that chopped top. |
