speaker placement
i am installing a stereo in my 64 gmc. i am building kick panel speakers for my 6.5 infinety kappa series speakers. i also have 6x9 3 way infinety kappa's. should i put them in my doors (already cut for 6.5's) or should i put them behind the seats? i also have a 400 watt 4channel amp going in.. thanks

Behind the seats.

Re: speaker placement
I say since it's already cut, make the hole bigger and in the doors...

I wouldn't have done it if my doors weren't already cut by a previous owner. http://i1140.photobucket.com/albums/...Picture630.jpg A 6.5" Bazooka tube fits on the passenger side too... http://i1140.photobucket.com/albums/...Picture621.jpg |

both with a fader control

Re: speaker placement
in the doors since the holes are already there. The kick panel speakers really woke my system up, I wouldn't even notice the 6x9s in my cab corners missing now unless I looked.

Re: speaker placement
ok i cut the doors bigger for the 6x9's. anybody that has doors with speakers have pictures of how they ran the wires? i will have an amp so wondering how you ran wires from under seat to doors. thanks

Re: speaker placement
I don't have any pics, but there's some cool braided looms on the web (posted on this forum too) that allow you to route wires from the inside of the door to the jamb. From there they can route easily hidden to the radio.
