Door jam switch

Hey guys I just bought some courtesy lights and ive already got them wired up but I can't figure out where to mount the door jam switches my cab doesn't have those little bumps to drill into. Any suggestions on what to do? Also where is the factory location to feed the switch wire into the kick panel? Thanks Bryce

Are those vacuum operated vent doors? Really cool.

I didn't know that-I've got a barebones model with the "Deluxe" heater. Was it a vacuum assisted switch to open and close or was it temperature controlled?

I thought it was a 71-72 but by looking at the door jams it doesn't have the bump for the switches

I"m a bit curious as to where the switch goes in a truck w/o the raised locations. also, how did the general run wires through the jam for power locks and windows?

Re: Door jam switch

If you dont have the bumps in the jamb, then you have a 67 or 68 cab.
As for power windows or locks ... They werent offered

Re: Door jam switch

I would just use a toggle switch in the cab...save the drilling and wire running for GM

$0.02

I bought them at Autozone. I asked for the door pin switches for a 67 Chevy C10. They were 5 bucks each.
