Frame rivets
i was at the pick a part .i got the sway bar and what unbolts.that left two rivets.at home i would use a air powered cut off tool.i need ideas on how to did it in junk yard.i tried a hammer and chisel but they are tough.thanks

Center punch, and drill, then chisel. Large hammer, and a drift punch to knock em out.

torch or 4 in grinder and a generator. other than that, you will have to buy the frame perches ( I am assuming that is what you had to leave behind ). if you dont have either find a buddy that does and both of you go and make a day of it.

If you have intentions of lowering the truck, I would highly suggest the lower profile mounts that places like Classic, the Truck Shop, and Brothers carry. If it's going to stay at stock height, they carry those, too. If I recall, they are around $15 for the pair, bolts included.
Most self-service yards around here won't allow torches or power tools. |
