Anyone good at making a repro window sticker?

I was just day dreaming of the day when my wrecker project is all done. I can picture it all new again. Got to thinking... it would be cool to make up a window sticker for it just for conversation purposes. :chevy:

Is anyone good at figuring out what would be on it? I have the original protect-o-plate that has the original dealer name and options and the sticker on the glove.

I would need to know what items would be found on the window sticker and the prices or anything else needed to fill one in. Font type? Etc...

Anyone up for the challenge? Any place to see original 1969 window stickers?

Thanks,

Bob

Me too. We have my wife's father's truck that he bought new. We have the original reciept from the dealer and the first tag receipt that he got. The build sheet, warranty papers, window sticker, and protect-o-plate rotted from laying in a damp shop.

I know member chipflyer does the spid sheets and can supply them...maybe check with him on the window sheets? I've seen them repo'd...just need someone to print them up properly...or you could do it if you can figure out how to line it up and the correct font...

Trucks to my knowledge did not get stickers as we think of them. I have a blank one for a 71 and I also have a couple of order forms specified for custom deluxe and cheyenne trucks. As far as I know all Jeff is doing are SPIDs, he had discussed making the door stickers that include the build date and vin but do not know if that has happened yet. Attached is the window sticker I have.

Guess I'll scrap this idea then. Thought they might have the nice typed out stickers with all the info.

Trucks were really behind the times then weren't they? Seems they were the last to get things. Cars had the window stickers from the early 60's at the very least. I know 1963 for sure as I have some on my website.

One less thing to do then. :waah:

Cool! Looks like this is back on then. :D

You guys with the window stickers...do all the listed items also appear on the glove sticker or are there others?

Any idea where to get the prices? Destination charge? ,etc...

If one of you guys wanted to send me a full size copy (scan) of your window sticker I would try and make up some blank ones. I presume they are printed on Legal size paper (8 1/2" x 14"), or are they bigger?

I ran across this tonight while poking around over on the Stovebolt page. They sell for $1.75.

I couldn't link directly to the sticker, but this link will get you close. Then you can find your way to decals.

Looks pretty darn close. Two bow ties instead of one. I certainly couldn't make them that cheap....
