1406 edelbrock electric choke question

So I am wanting to know how to adjust the electric choke. I start my motor in the morning when it is cold and I need to really rev it up for like 10-20 sec before it will idle... and once it warms its ok, other than the hard start after she runs for a while. So basically turning the black chock cover forward (clockwise) is leaning the carb right (less fuel). And turning the black choke cover back (counter clockwise) is riching the mixture (more fuel). I think it is adjusted clockwise (forward pretty far. I was thinking of turning it counter clock wise (back) to the factory setting. Which I am told it will be like half way. Were are you guys setting yours and any thing else I should do.

Id have to look. Make sure its hooked to full 12v switched.

Whats your fuel pump pressure. Back when I had 8-9psi it was funny (hard) to start.

id check your float levels as well...

Mine is set right in the middle, but that's with a 396. I'll second the fuel pressure, I had all kinds of issues before I finally dropped it down to 6 psi.
