NOS USA-1 plate
 

This is a NOS USA-1 front tag. This is not your cheap newer $10.00 tag that you can go run out and buy. This is a mid 70's to early 80's tag that came with the wax paper as seen in the pic. It has the raised letters and you can see the imprint of the USA-1 in the paper. This is the real deal. I have seen these on ebay from time to time range from $65.00-$100+ plus shipping. $60.00 shipped and 71super (Harold) has first dibs on this one.

Guys I will let both of you know as soon as I hear from him. I do have a very nice used one that I will take $30.00 shipped for and it is very presentable if he takes this one. I can post pics of the used one if you wish.

Ok here are the pics of the used one and it looks like it was only run for a short time because it is very nice. I also added a pic of a newer one that is GM but you can tell the difference in the color from the new one to the to older ones. The new one is in pics 3,4 and 5.

Guys after looking at the used plate I have determined that it is either a late 80's GM plate or a very nice repop because the mounting holes on the NOS 60's,70's and early 80's plates had the smaller mounting holes and this one has the bigger holes but it still has the correct shiny color blue and red vs. the new one with the dull looking blue and red. So I am unsure but I would think it is a GM just not as old as the NOS one.

PT - just checkin - but are they all gone? I think so, just want to confirm. if not, please throw me umpteenth in line :) Man o man I can remember these things being on EVERY chevy hot rod in town in the 70's.... Very nice.

I am in the process of cleaning out some buildings here at the house and have parts in all three of them. So far the only thing that I have found that I hate is a 3 ft. black slithering thing if you know what I am talking about. I will keep my eyes open if I run into anymore plates. I for got that I had all of these.
