To lower or not to lower????
1 Attachment(s)
Okay everyone....
I have been messing around with lowering my truck and can't decide....my flavor is a slight rake....1"...1/2" or so....I like it so the top of the front tires are 1/2" or so away from the front fenderwell.... I will most likely keep the 275/60's on the front but I will go to 325 50/s on the rear...future mod...rear sway bar and relocate gas tank...3 or 4" exhaust out the back with magnaflows.... |
Mike thats a beautiful truck my dad had one just like it, I would drop it on down,I like a 2 1/2 and 4 rear drop myself!

I like it the way it is, a long box looks to much like a sled lowered. my 2 cents

this is 3 inch rer and 2 inch front..has a slight rake

I just lowered my 72 LWB 1 1/2" in the rear with blocks.
It now sits level and I like it a lot. Amazing what just that small drop does when you look at it from the rear. IMHO, whether or not you have side trim makes a difference when you decide what to do with lowering. If you have the trim - maybe don't lower so much?? Educate me here - 325 50/s ?? Never heard of them, but I don't get out much. |
SLAM IT
I HAVE A RED AND WHITE SHORTBED SLAMMED I LIKE THE WAY THEY LOOK SLAMMED
|
Put it in the weeds. Our trucks, either long or short beds look sweet as low as possible. If you are not dragging, you are not low enough. http://photos.yahoo.com/cruzn72@pacbell.net

I say leave it as is or go with your plan as stated at the top of this post. Slamming a truck like yours is like putting a mustache on the Mona Lisa. You're ruining a classic IMO.
|
if you lower that truck im calling the truck police and filing a chevy abuse charge on you
|
i'd go lower, but not a slam
just my thoughts david |
