Help Determine Unknown Lift Size 77 K10
 

Need help figuring out what size lift is on my truck. PO didn't know just said a lift haha. The tires are 33x12.50r15s. I can take measurements if that would help. All I know is the shocks on it are Pro Comp so I would imagine the lift is. Any help is appreciated!

Dang...kind of figured but oh well. I guess I will look for a 6" or 8" lift...

anyone know the max lift you can go without modifying driveshafts?

6" if you aren't wheeling it hard, 4" if you are.

Really? Anyone have any "trimmed" fender pics so I can see since I'm trying to run some bigger tires than this 4" will let me.

looks like a 6" my friends 4" is pretty small so i guess a 6"

Anyone know the size lift blocks it would run for either lift? Also anyone have a hub to fender measurement for either size lift?

Took these tonight. The trim was probably done when the truck was new in 1981. I bought it when it was 5 years old.

It had 33" BFGs on 10" wide rims and no lift stock. I have 35/12.5/16.5, 35" tires on 10" wide rims same as 315/75/16s.

I put 4" superlift springs and 2" rear blocks. I dont like when the back sets higher than the front. Its a 8600gvw k20. Didnt want it 6" when I did it 20 years ago, because I had a lance camper for it

Its never rubbed in 30 years. I dont know if it even needed trimming with the 4" lift and 35" tires, probably did

Nice! Thanks man. that is a great looking truck. I will probably be running 36s for now whenever money permits. Any way you could get me measurements from your hub to wheel well opening?

You have a 4" lift. I have had several trucks with both 4 and 6 of the same generation. If u want 36s then a 6" would be needed to clear and not rub much. I beat the crap out of mine and had 35" MTRs on it. The drivelines are only as strong as the weakest link. Usually they fail at the weakest link not because they are too weak overall. A 6" kit can come different ways but usually it has 6" front springs and 4" rear blocks with a 2" add a leaf. You would probably be able to figure put what size front springs u have by checking the label on them. Unless they are really old the label is probably still on them.

You can get away w 36s w a 4" but clearancing the front fenders will be necessary. The only time my 35s would rub was at max articulation and the wheel turned one way but not the other.
