My first Square!
3 Attachment(s)
Hey guys, I have been on this site for roughly a year now, my first truck was a 72 chevy. I recently traded that 72 for a 1985 GMC regular cab dually. The dually has a 454 with a three speed manual trans. This is my Daily driver. so far i have just done a few small things to it. She runs fantastic, but im sure i will be having some issue sooner or later and you guys are the best when it comes to answering questions.

Re: My first Square!
Hahah thanks for the offer but I think I'll keep the wheels for now. LOk
And as far as rust free, it's pretty close, it's got one little tiny rust hole in it. Thanks for the compliments guys! Posted via Mobile Device |
Re: My first Square!
Awesome looking dually. Looks like its in great shape from here!
That's pretty cool its a manual as well. |
Re: My first Square!
Thanks! The dually fenders are a little bit beat up and there's a few dents here and there but for being a 25 year old truck it's in good shape :metal: and yeah, I love the fact that it's a manual!

Re: My first Square!
Nice dually! Looks like you are missing the clearence lights on the front of the dually fenders
|
Re: My first Square!
Thanks! And I honestly didn't know that there were supposed to be any on the front of the fenders.. There's no holes for them. Maybe someone pulled them off and filled the holes with fiberglass?

Re: My first Square!
so i have been doing quite a bit of debating with myself on what exactly i want to do with this truck.. i have finally made up my mind. i want to lower it, but from mostly everything i have read up on so far most people bag their duallys. i dont want to go that low.. i want maybe 4 in the rear and 2 or 3 up front. just enough to where the tops of the tires start to tuck. i dont want to have to cut the fenders or anything like that so i dont want to go to terribly low. anyone know where i can get a kit for this? and will it make it harder that this truck has factory two ton rear springs? thanks guys!

i was wondering, what is this square above the speedo/ gas gauge? my step mom has an 85 half ton and her truck doesnt have it.. i've never seen it light up or anything..

Gotta get that checked out one of these days. For now though, it's running well enough that I'm not too concerned about it. |
Re: My first Square!
Check your glove box sticker, those are the "Wait to start" and "Water in fuel" warning lights from a diesel truck.

Re: My first Square!
What would i be looking for on the glove box sticker?
